Jean Monnet projects
In 2015, Drs Lyudmila Igumnova (Department of Political Science, History and Regional Studies) and Elizaveta Matveeva (Department of World History and International Relations) at Irkutsk State University were awarded Jean Monnet Chairs. Along with prestigious “Jean Monnet Chair” titles they received a three-year grants to support their teaching and research activities within individual projects “European Studies Program at ISU: Foreign Policy and Identity Issues” (Chair holder - Lyudmila Igumnova) and “Politicizing Europe, Europeanizing domestic policy and politics: the changing nature of relationship between the EU and its member states” (Chair holder – Elizaveta Matveeva)
