This collection comprises abstracts of presentations by participants of the international conference “Europe and Asia-Pacific countries: Problems of Interaction” (Irkutsk, September 30 – October 1, 2013). The participants focus on different aspects of cooperation between the European Union, Russia and Asia-Pacific states, consider the evolution of integration processes in both regions, the problems of European identity and perception of the EU in the world, and analyze the role of Russia (and Siberia) as a bridge between the East and the West.
