All-Russian Political Science Conference "Region within the State and the World: Trends and Dynamics of Political Development" was held at History Faculty of Irkutsk State University on April 20, 2017. The problems of the European Union were highlighted in a number of presentations. In particular, the activities of the European External Action Service in relation to Russia were analyzed in the presentation of L.O. Igumnova.
