Tomsk Winter School "The European Union, the EAEU and Russia: the Current State"
On February 7-10, 2018 Tomsk State University hosted the Winter School "The European Union, the EAEU and Russia: the Current State". The school was organized by Jean Monnet Center of Excellence under the supervision of Professor Larisa Deriglazova and the Center for International Organizations and Network Structures, led by Professor Sergei Miroshnikov. The event attracted 24 participants from 7 universities (Tomsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Ural, Altai, Kemerovo, Tyumen and Irkutsk). The experts on EU and Eurasia, the staff of Tomsk Region Administration and curators of academic mobility programs made their presentations.
The students of the History faculty of Irkutsk State University Nadezhda Chugunova, Lyana Bekreneva, Elena Krasnova and Jana Stupina became participants of the Winter School. Associate professors of the faculty - Elizaveta Matveeva and Lyudmila Igumnova delivered their lectures on the European Union. The program of the school included a course of lectures and students project activities. Working in small groups, the participants were tasked to draft a roadmap for the establishment and development of relations between the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union. Tomsk State University has created all the necessary conditions and a pleasant atmosphere for fruitful work and establishing friendly relations between the participants.
